Indian students now can seek admissions into well respected 125 years old Concordia University, Wisconsin, USA granting master’s and bachelors degrees without TOEFL nor the SAT. Neither the TOEFL nor the SAT is required for admittance into our program. Further, at the graduate level, neither the GMAT nor the GRE are required for international or domestic students. Our university places an emphasis on the grades of the students and will accept either first or second division students from India, informed Concordia University in a communication.
The trend today in Indian education is to have global educational qualifications. India dominates the global demand for International education. The number of Indian students going abroad for studies has increased many times. Approximately 80,000 Indian students seek admissions in various US colleges/universities every year. The trend for obtaining foreign education is on an increase. In fact India remained the top position in the number of international students studying in the US for the fourth year in succession.
Lakhs of Indian students every year are busy in test preparation for standards tests like TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language, to evaluate the English proficiency of people for whom English is not their native language ), GRE (Graduate Record Examination, it gauges undergraduate achievement in the eight disciplines), GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test to check candidate’s verbal, mathematical and analytical skills), SAT ( The Scholastic Aptitude Test, that evaluates a student’s knowledge on specific subjects).
But, off late thanks to Concordia University, Wisconsin, they can seek admission into various courses without standard tests such as TOEFL, GMAT, GRE etc. And can seek admission into 48 undergraduate programmes which include Undergraduation in Computer Science, Business Management, Physiotherapy and many Graduation programmes.
Established in 1881 with thirteen students, today it claims of being a home to over 5,400 undergraduate and graduate, traditional as well as non-traditional students from 38 states and two dozen foreign countries.
According to Mr. P. Anil Kumar, Director of Youth World Consulting which is the representative of Concordia University in Andhra Pradesh hundreds and thousands of students in our state write these exams every year. And spend lot of time and money. But, very few fare very well in these exams. Those who couldn’t score well are disappointed lot. Now these need not worry. No matter, irrespective of your scores or whether you write those mandatory exams or not, you can still seek admissions in not only Concordia University but many other universities. But, unfortunately many students do not know of these universities which accommodate students without TOEFL/GRE/GMAT and others.
Hundred of students have got admissions from the state of Andhra Pradesh into various programmes of the university in the last couple of years, informed Mr. Anil. Many students who desirous of global undergraduation/ graduation programmes can utilise this opportunity.
Note: I would like to repeat the same thing I said in couple of articles.Without taking standardized tests your chance of getting visa is very slim.Take the same path where thousands of students took standardized tests and were successful.Taking a short route may prove costly at the end.
