The recommendation letter must be typed on letter head, signed and enclosed in sealed envelope (preferably white).Seal should be at the flap and at the front of the envelope.

This is a simple recommendation letter that will work for tier II universities.I will try to post how a strong letter of recommendation will look like.

Mr. Rahul Sharma has been known to me for the last three years of his Under Graduate course work. I was his professor for Strength Of Materials-I, Dynamics Of Machines, Design Of Machine Elements-II, Advanced Strength Of Materials & Finite Element Method, and guided him in Machine Drawing-II Lab and CAD & CAM Lab. I found him to be attentive and industrious during his classes. His remarkable grasp of fundamentals and his ability to analyze and solve problems are praiseworthy. He is good at Mechanical packages like Auto Cad and Catia and has outstanding Mathematical skills.

In his final year of UG course work, he presented five National Level Technical Papers with in the state and out of the state in four different universities in the fields of Nano-Technology, Robotics, CAD/CAM and Pollution Control and organized one Symposium in our college in the rank of a student coordinator. He also participated in Two-Day workshops entitled “Finite Element Analysis” and “Entrepreneurship and Awareness Programme”. This approach of participating in the technical events indirectly shows his interest towards research in mechanical engineering.

On the whole, I would like to rank him on top 1% in my subjects and strongly recommend him for admission into Masters Program in your esteemed university to explore new frontiers.
